Finding a mate

If you can't tell, the Lizard Wife (aka Mama Lizard) and I support a strong marriage. We're definitely involved in Marriage Encounter.

Some stuff in the news/online from our recent convention:

Anyway, the thing that brought this post on...Watching the Today Show this morning, I saw something on how to choose a mate. Some of the advice was pretty good, coming from a 79 year old Priest.

A Child's Point of View...

can be refreshing. In light of US v Heller, I thought I'd dig this up. This was a test Little Princess did back in March. Granted, she is homeschooled, but my wife did not prompt her in any way.

I would say that the Founding Fathers wrote things clearly enough that an eight year old can understand...

Do you photo?

Ever since a photography class in junior high, I've enjoyed taking pictures.

Here's one of the blogs/podcasts I follow. You get a wide range of discussion that's pretty good. They also have an active Flickr group for critiques and another for contests!

How liberals think.

This is a fairly long video. I'm not embedding it because I want you to know where I found it.

It definitely makes you think a bit.

Oh, and I still like this quote:

"My politics haven't changed -- it was the Democratic Party that changed."
– Charlton Heston (1924-2008)

Book suggestions

During my last business trip, I stumbled onto a new author. His name is Vince Flynn. His books are a combination of spy and political thriller, or at least that's the way I'd describe it.

Here's his web site.

So...what do you recommend?
